My favorite hometown landmark – The Red Mill Museum
One of our agency owners, Rich Reiner lives and works in Clinton. His favorite landmark is the Red Mill Museum Village, where he is also on the Board of Trustees. The Red Mill has very rich history with the limestone Mulligan Quarry and a blacksmithshop. Rich’s first visit to the Mill was 13 years ago. He believes the Mill has a lot of meaning for the town because it provided many jobs years ago for the citizens of the town. The Mill is the most photographed mill in the US, featured at many art stores around the country.
One of the things that is special about the Red Mill Museumis that it receives no funding from the State but funded through community events as well as Corporate sponsors. One of the most popular events is The HauntedMill, a 5 day attraction run by volunteers. Last year, the Haunted Mill raised over $100,000. There are also many continuing education field trips, a British Carshow, Beers and Wines of the World exhibit, a Black Potato Festival, Civil War Days, and Weddings. The Red Mill Museum was also featured on the popular show Ghost Hunters.
