Hey Boatowners!
The weather is starting to get warmer, so that means time to bring out the water toys. Before you go out sailing you need to check the basics on your boat to ensure a safe trip.
Things to check
1.) The propeller
You want to make sure there is no physical damage to the propeller that could have resulted from rough dockings.
2.) Bilge Pump
Make sure your pump is working properly just in case of the rare event that your boat starts to take on water. This pump can save your life.
3.) The Shell of the boat
Rough dockings can also damagethe fiberglass material on the shell of the boat. This can lead to major damageif not taken care of in the early stages.
4.) Battery
Just like with a car, you want tomake sure your battery is in good condition for sailing.
5.) Gas tank
Can’t go anywhere without gas…right?
