October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The American Cancer Society is located right here in
Springfield, New Jersey. Their Annual Breast Cancer walk will be on Sunday, October 21, 2012 from 8:00
AM – 1:00 PM.

From their website: “2011 Making Strides against Breast
Cancer Walk of Jersey City raised $246,000 with 4,500 walkers. The walk is
noncompetitive to raise awareness and dollars to fight breast cancer.  Pledges
are dedicated to life-saving American Cancer Society research, education,
patient support, and advocacy programs to defeat the disease. The walk is less
than 3 miles and takes place in Lincoln Park.”

Registration Time: 8:00 am

Opening Ceremony: 9:00 am

Start Time: 10:00 am

It will be at
Lincoln Park in Jersey City, New Jersey. Participants can enter from
West Side Avenue Entrance.
