When to drop collision
A common question we can’t answer enough is when should I drop collision coverage from
my policy?
Everyone thinks of deleting coverage as a way to save a few
bucks on their insurance. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to save money,
however we should always value quality over price. You want to be fully covered
for whatever life may bring your way.
What will you be
exposed to if you do not have collision coverage? You would have to pay for
damages with your own money if your car is totaled in an accident or damaged
anonymously in a store parking lot. Of course this comes with lost time having
to shop around for another car or waiting for your car to be repaired. Nobody
wants to deal with complex and inconvenient transportation issues because they
don’t have a car.
Progressive outlines some great other factors to
consider in making your decision. Choose wisely.
