Spring Break Safety
FINALLLLLY!!! It’s
Spring break and you can get the much
needed repreive you’ve been dying for. Either your mid-terms have just
concluded or you still have some to go. Take some time to charge up your energy
for the last lap of your school year.
Here’s some tips to ensure a safe spring break
If you’re going to drink alcohol at party make sure you have a safe
ride home.
Either declare one of your friends the designated driver of
the night, call a cab or Safe
Rides Unlimited or stay home. When you stay home you don’t have to worry
about rides and you can go right to sleep in your own bed.
*Using Safe Rides can get you into clubs for free or at a
reduced rate without having to wait in line.
If you decide to throw a party, you are responsible for your guests.
If your guests leave your home intoxicated, get behind the
wheel and cause an accident you can be held liable. Take precautions to make
sure your guests don’t drink too much or don’t drive immediately afterwards.
Either collect everyone’s car keys as they enter the party or offer them a
place to stay for the night.
If you’re traveling and lose your luggage or an expensive personal item
it may be covered under your parent’s homeowners policy.
You might want to ask them to check their policy before your
leave for break.
When traveling out of
state or country, always travel with friends.
Try not to go any place alone. If you need to, always let
someone know where you’re going. It might seem a bit obsessive but it’s for
your own safety.
Have a great spring break!
